In all there are 10 obstacles which a candidate is required to attempt individually outdoors at a specified place. Each obstacle consists of some points from 1 to 10 based on which GTO does the scoring.
As the name suggests each candidate, in turn, becomes the commander of the group. He/she is required to cross some obstacles, designed on field, with the help of 2-3 subordinates which are to be selected from the candidate’s very own group.
Last of the series, basically to put the whole group together, the task given is similar to PGT and the group is asked to attempt it against a severe restriction of time.
The Personal Interview (PI) can be said as a purposeful conversation between the candidate and the Interviewing officer for about 50 to 60 minutes on any of the day after the Psychological Tests. The primary purpose is to check for Officer like Qualities (OLQs) in the candidate appearing for the SSB.
